Proof Studio

The customer is the artist. We make it real.

Nothing is forced on them. They choose the product, the materials, the colours, where their crest sits and what the tag says — and they see it as it will actually be made. Our job is to turn that idea into something that can be built, priced and delivered without a single detail getting lost on the way.

The proof is the bible. Everything after it works from that one page.

An approved proof is not a formality to file away. It is the instruction the whole job runs on: it prices the quote, sets the bill of materials, prints with the traveller, sits on the tablet at every station, and is what the finished piece gets checked against before it leaves.

One version, approved once, with a name and a time against it. That is the difference between a job that goes right first time and a week of arguing about what was agreed.

What is inside it

Eight parts, and none of them are decoration.

The studio is not a picture configurator bolted onto a website. It is the front end of the same system that quotes the job, orders the materials, schedules the work and tells the customer where it has got to.

01

Product registry

Every product the studio can build is described in a data file: its parts, materials, colour options, print and embroidery areas, minimum sizes and the rules about what can go where. Adding a product is a data job, not a development project.

02

Live preview

Choices redraw the product on screen as they are made, on the real shape and in the real materials, so nobody has to imagine what "navy with a gold contrast stitch" looks like.

03

Materials and colours

Swatches limited to what can genuinely be made, in the combinations you are prepared to sell — so a customer never designs something the workshop has to refuse a week later.

04

Their logo, their words

They upload their crest or type their name and place it inside the areas the product allows. Position, size and method — embroidered, printed or embossed — are all recorded with the design.

05

Saved designs

Work in progress is saved to their account, reopened later, shown to a committee, and turned into a quote request when they are ready. No deadline, no pressure, no lost work.

06

Proof and approval

We issue the proof against the saved design. They approve it or ask for a change, and the decision is stored with a name and a time against the order.

07

Straight into the job

The approved proof goes into the job pack with the traveller, the materials come off stock and the job is booked into the schedule.

08

One studio, any range

There is one design studio, not one per product. Head covers, umbrellas, bag tags, apparel — anything configured before it is made fits the same engine.

The journey

Their idea, start to finish.

They sign in

Register on the website, verify the email, and get a real account — saved designs and proofs in one place instead of scattered through an inbox.

They design what they want

Product, material, colours, finish, their own crest and wording, placed where they want it inside what the product allows. Nothing pre-chosen for them, and nothing offered that cannot be made.

They save it and ask

Saved to the account, picked up again later, shared with a committee or a captain, and sent over as a quote request when they are ready.

We proof it, they approve it

The proof goes back against their design. They approve it or ask for a change, and the decision is recorded with a name and a date.

It gets made from that proof

Into the job pack with the traveller, onto the tablets at each station, checked against the same proof before dispatch — and they are told at every stage without anyone having to ring them.

Where it stands

Built, running, and being fitted to our own range.

The engine is built and in use for configurable products — product data, live preview, saved designs, proofs, approvals and the hand-off into manufacturing. It is now being fitted to our own golf range: driver head covers, umbrellas and personalised accessories, under the Proof Studio name.

If you make anything that is configured before it is made, the same studio fits your range. The products are data — the software is already written.
